Mississippi Queen 50th Anniversary Cowbell Tour

Legendary rock drummer, Corky Laing, of Mountain and West, Bruce and Laing teams up with Richie Scarlet, (the Emperor of Rock n Roll) from Ace Frehley’s band and multi-instrumentalist, Mark Mikel of The Pillbugs.

Corky Laing’s Mountain performs the classic Mountain repertoire (Mississippi Queen, Nantucket Sleighride, Never in My Life, For Yasgur’s Farm, Theme From and Imaginary Western, Don’t Look Around and others) with unparalleled enthusiasm and energy as it was originally recorded. People who have seen the band live, say that the show reminds them of the brilliant Mountain shows in the 70s. Corky co-wrote Mississippi Queen and many of Mountain’s other hits.

“Mountain Climbing!” was released in March 1970, and 50 years on, the unmistakable cowbell intro still leads to the killer guitar lick that makes the ultimate rock classic; “Mississippi Queen.” The 50th anniversary of the Mississippi cowbell will also see the release of a new vinyl, “Toledo Sessions,” by Corky Laing’s Mountain. And Corky will also share his experiences with Woodstock, Leslie West, The Who, The Stones and more in this very special performance.
