Denny Laine & the Moody Wing Band

Denny Laine & the Moody Wing Band
4-14-2019

As a Founding Member of both The Moody Blues and Wings, Denny Laine and his new band are touring as Denny Laine & the Moody Wing Band.

Superstar guitarist and songwriter, Denny Laine is best known for his roles as former guitarist and lead singer of The Moody Blues and, later, co-founder with Paul McCartney of Wings. Denny was one of three constants in Wings, along with Paul and Linda McCartney. Denny’s contributions to Wings albums' “Band On The Run," “Venus & Mars,” “Wings At The Speed of Sound,” “Wings Over America,” “London Town,” “Back To The Egg,” “Red Rose Speedway,” and “Wild Life” were integral to their sound.  "Band On the Run" includes many timeless songs like "Band on the Run," "Jet,"  "Bluebird,"  "Mrs. Vandebilt," "Let Me Roll It," "Helen Wheels" and "Picasso's Last Words (Drink to Me)."

And back at the height of the British invasion, Laine was one of the most recognizable voices on the entire British music scene. As the lead singer on the Moody Blues‘ recording of “Go Now” - a worldwide multi-million seller and their only number one hit - he stood out in a large pack, and did so splendidly. His soulful, agonized lead vocal performance proved irresistible on the radio. Denny was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a founding member of the Moody Blues.

Denny Laine & the Moody Wing Band will be performing the entire LPs “Band on the Run” and The Moody Blues first album “Magnificent Moodies” at this show.
