Dana Fuchs

Dana Fuchs is one of the most admired blues-rock stars in the world today. Her latest effort, "Borrowed Time," finds her revisiting her southern rock roots with a deliciously dangerous collection of her incredible songs and lyrics. Her Producer Bobby Harlow (Detroit Cobras, Samantha Fish) managed to capture the tornado in a bottle intensity, urgency, power, restraint, and passion of Dana's live show on a studio album. Borrowed Time is the rawest, most rocking, musical offering of her career.
With her feet planted on both sides of the blues-rock divide, Dana Fuchs is one of the fiercest voices in modern-day roots music. She's equal parts soul singer and bluesy belter, funneling her own story — a tale of small-town roots, family tragedy, trials, and triumph — into the amplified anthems and haunting ballads that fill albums like Bliss Avenue and Love Lives On. With her newest project, Borrowed Time, she digs deep into her southern rock upbringing, saluting the loud, guitar-driven sounds that sound-tracked her childhood years in rural Wildwood, Florida.
In addition to fronting her own blues rock band, Dana portrayed Janis Joplin on Broadway in 'Love, Janis' and Sadie in the highly acclaimed film 'Across the Universe.'
She's a Jagger blues jammer, Otis soul sister, juke joint Janis and Sexy Sadie all rolled into one passionate performer and world class singer songwriter. Dana's live show is a hit year after year at Bull Run. Classic Rock Magazine finds "her voice dirty and illicit, evoking Joplin, Jagger and a cigarette butt bobbing in a glass of bourbon."
