Yoke Shire - St. Patrick's Day

Yoke Shire - St. Patrick's Day
3-17-2023 - St. Patrick's Day

"Yoke Shire know how to throw a St. Patrick’s Day celebration!” declared Bill Copeland’s Music News in their review of Yoke Shire’s 2013 St. Patrick’s Day performance at The Bull Run. If you were lucky enough to catch Yoke Shire at their sold out Bull Run shows on St. Patrick’s Day 2012, 2013 or 2016, then you know why we’re so excited to have them back this year!

Yoke Shire has established themselves as New England’s Premiere Irish Music Group with live TV performances on Fox 25 News and NECN Morning News. They’ve also performed live on a variety of radio shows, such as their frequent St. Patrick’s Day appearances on 100.7 FM WZLX Boston. Yoke Shire has delivered their Irish magic to enthusiastic audiences at prominent Boston area venues including Tupelo Music Hall, The Hard Rock Café, Cheers, and historic Faneuil Hall. They have also been featured performers four times at The Boston Irish Festival.

Brothers Craig Herlihy and Brian Herlihy have combined their musical talents with their cultural heritage and created a fresh take on Irish music. Band leader Craig Herlihy is a talented multi-instrumentalist who performs on piano, mandolin, tin whistle, melodica, bass guitar and sings. Together with Brian’s guitar work and their trademark vocal harmonies, the duo delivers Irish Pub Favorites that will have you clapping & singing along.

Yoke Shire’s 2011 Irish CD “Awakening Celtic Spirits” was mastered at the renowned Gateway Studios by Grammy Award winning audio engineer Adam Ayan. The album has received praise from both fans and critics alike.

St. Patrick’s Day lands on a Friday this year, so grab your tickets now to revel in the Irish spirit with Yoke Shire at The Bull Run. We’ll be serving delicious corned beef dinners and have plenty of Guinness on tap!

“These Irish-American brothers can certainly play, enlivening “Irish Rover,” “Danny Boy” & “Finnegan’s Wake” with a whirlwind of tin whistle, bodhran & dulcimer.” - The Boston Herald

“Awakening Celtic Spirits, is a masterfully performed and recorded assemblage of traditional Irish folk tunes with beautifully crafted arrangements, stunning vocals and masterful performances." - Metronome Magazine
