Jimmy Vivino and Bob Margolin

Jimmy Vivino and Bob Margolin
3-29-2019

Special Guest are piling up for this show: Jesse Williams, Rosie Rosenblatt, Tyler Morris and Ilana Katz Katz. And a couple others we can't mention yet. Stay tuned. This is a monster show!

Jimmy Vivino has recorded and played with Johnnie Johnson, Hubert Sumlin, Levon Helm, Al Kooper, Phoebe Snow, Laura Nyro, John Sebastian and Donald Fagen. He also serves as the Music Director on the TBS late night show Conan. Vivino has been a consistent element in O'Brien's late night career, starting with the first episode of Late Night with Conan O'Brien in September 1993. In June of 2008 Vivino moved from New York to Los Angeles and worked as Music Director/guitarist/arranger on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, The Legally Prohibited from Being on Television Tour and currently leads Jimmy Vivino and The Basic Cable Band on CONAN. In addition to his solo work, Vivino plays with the successful Beatles tribute band The Fab Faux. “I’m just a Bluesman with a pretty good job,” Jimmy says.

Bob Margolin played guitar in The Muddy Waters Band from 1973 - 1980, and appeared on all the albums Muddy made at that time. He also played with The Band and had a spot in The Last Waltz. Bob is a major force in today’s Blues scene, touring worldwide at festivals, concerts, clubs and workshops. His self titled album reveals the latest from the 2017 Blues Music Award winner for Best Male Traditional Blues Artist. Just released by the VizzTone Label Group (Bob is a founding partner), six new original songs are his Blues for today’s world. He also interprets nine songs he learned “back in the day” from his legendary friends Muddy Waters, The Band, Johnny Winter, Jimmy Rogers, Snooky Pryor, Pinetop Perkins and James Cotton.
