The Knickerbocker All-Stars are a group of extremely talented blues musicians who have been in the business for decades. Members of the band have played and recorded with such notable performers as Freddie King, Robert Cray, Marcia Ball, Jimmie Vaughan, Sugaray Rayford, Duke Robillard, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Thornetta Davis, Darcel Wilson, Curtis Salgaldo, Roomful of Blues as well as their own bands.
Duke Robillard, Al Copley, Dave Maxwell, Sax Gordon, Johnny Nicholas and virtually all of the alumnae of the legendary Rhode Island band, the Roomful of Blues.
These are the legends of the blues community who have found their home at ‘the Knickerbocker,’ the historic venue in Westerly, RI, and you would be hard pressed anywhere to find a band with this many veteran musicians! This is truly the 'Dream Team' of jump blues.
The band celebrates the 50s, 60s and 70s Rhythm & Blues, Jump Blues, Swing, Blues and Soul, all of which made the Knickerbocker Music Center a mecca of dance music known throughout the world since its beginnings in Westerly, RI in 1933.
The band includes: Willie J. Laws Jr. - vocals and guitar, Alexus Lee - Vocals, Bruce Mattson - keys/B3, Brad Hallen - bass, Osi Brathwaite - drums, Rich Lataille - alto and tenor sax, Doc Chanonhouse - Trumpet, Carl Querfurth - Trombone and Doug James - Baritone Sax.
