YellowHouse Blues Band presents "The First Ladies of the Blues"

Making their debut at Bull Run Restaurant, the YellowHouse Blues Band is excited to present the “First Ladies of the Blues”, paying tribute to the pioneering female singers who’ve helped shape the Blues from the 1920’s to today!

The YellowHouse Blues Band is a 9-piece, high energy blues, blues rock band with horns and multiple vocalists, known for putting their own take on popular songs and making them their own. Coming from the Seacoast of NH and ME, they have performed sold-out shows all over New England and are excited to be playing at Bull Run.

The “First Ladies of the Blues” show includes timeless songs like Bessie Smith’s 1929 recording of “Nobody Knows You When You’re Down and Out,” Memphis Minnie’s 1929 recording of “When the Levee Breaks” - famously covered by Led Zeppelin in 1971, Aretha Franklin’s 1968 “Ain’t No Way,” to songs by contemporary artists like Susan Tedeschi, Samantha Fish and Joanne Shaw Taylor!

The Band: Johanna Lawrence-Lead Vocals: Sophie Patenaude-Vocals: Bruce Addison-Tenor Saxophone and Vocals: Michael White-Trumpet: John Edwards-Lead Guitar: Matt Becker-Rhythm & Slide Guitar: Karen Dicey-Bass and Vocals: Paul Bell-Drums:  and Mike Harrison-Keyboards.
