Mark Marquis returns with a six piece band featuring Mark on guitar, Jerry Sabatini on trumpet, Paul Rochon on keyboards, Ann Marie Koivu on piano, Jimmy Morrell on guitar and bass and Dave Bergeron on drums.
Marquis is known for putting his own guitar stylings on whatever repertoire he presents, “running the gamut”, from jazz to blues to original compositions. Mark, a virtuoso guitarist, has been playing professionally from an early age and has performed with some of the finest jazz and blues musicians.
As a player, Mark knows and can play in the styles of John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Miles Davis as well as Jimi Hendrix and Wes Montgomery. Growing up, he also studied the classical repertoire of Chopin, Ravel and Bach on the piano. This variety of music has somehow made its way into the sounds of Mark Marquis. He has recorded and released a number of original CDs.
In 2016 Mark won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Worcester Music Awards!
