Ring in the New with "the Q"

If anything embodies the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll, this music does.” It's been an amazing 47 year run for NRBQ, perhaps the most beloved cult band in America. And though Terry Adams, visionary, driving force and "untamed genius of the keyboards," is the only remaining founding member, "the Q" remain true to the long standing spirit of the original band. The quirks, the drive, the perfect-pop sensibility and cooing ballads, the nods to space-jazz, serious blues, real country and rockabilly, the good-time-music vibe - it all still there.

And Bonnie Raitt called them "the best Rock & Roll Band in the universe."  - nuff said...

Adams reignited the legendary Quartet with the addition of Scott Ligon on guitar & vocals, Bobby Lloyd Hicks on drums and Casey McDonough on bass & vocals. AND, for this show NRBQ will be joined by the Whole Wheat Horns: Klem Klimek on tenor saxophone and Carl Q on trombone.

Their newest album "Brass Tacks," showcases many new original tunes from Adams (especially "This Flat Tire" and "Greetings From Delaware") and is one of their best to date. Their cover of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Getting to Know You" feels so right that you'd think they wrote it if you didn't know better.
Why this band isn't in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame yet is truly bewildering.
