Brothers & Sisters Blues Tour

4-15-2011 (Sawtelle Room)
Music in its purest forms must constantly be infused with new blood; young people who have immersed themselves in tradition so they can take the form they love into a new millennium. That's what the Brothers and Sisters Blues Tour is all about - Timeless Music, Youthful Energy, Four Bands, One Powerful Show.
Lydia Warren, a blues veteran at 27, began her professional career at age 12. She sings with the power of a universal soul and plays guitar like she was born on the bayou. Add her commanding stage presence and strap yourself in.
Danielle Miraglia: A strong steady thumb on an old Gibson guitar is the driving force behind Danielle Miraglia's guitar style. With foot-stomping tunes that move both hearts and hips, she brought an edge to the folk scene and has morphed into a full out blues mama. This will be her first tour with an electric blues band and My God Man is she ready. A national maybe international touring star, her lovingly developed songwriting style has a depth andemotion beyond her years.
Don't Blame Jack w/ Jack Babineau, is five young men on a mission. Coming to the blues much the way the young Rolling Stones did, they bring a rock energy that only comes from being at an age when anything is still possible. Jack is just one of the best singers you have ever heard. When he sings Marvin Gay, women swoon.
Ryan Kelly and Smokehouse Lighting have embraced the blues since Ryan was a baby. The son of a musical family, this kid is so good his dad begged him not to go to college right away. Dad was right. Possessing an angelic voice and absolutely searing guitar style, Ryan releases his first album this spring.
