Love From Boston: A Tribute to Mike Ledbetter
5-26-2019
Join us for very special evening of music and friends, as the Boston music community comes together to celebrate the life of Michael Ledbetter.
At just 33, Ledbetter had commanded the respect and adoration of critics and fans around the world, with his incredible voice, and his emotion laden delivery. After first appearing on the Bull Run stage as a member of The Nick Moss Band, Ledbetter eventually teamed up with Boston's own Mike Welch to form the Welch-Ledbetter Connection. The Connection went on to receive an astounding 12 Blues Music Award nominations, taking home the trophy for Best Traditional Blues Album for their debut album, "Right Place, Right Time" in 2018.
Sadly, Michael passed away suddenly in January 2019, leaving behind his partner Kathy, and their two young children Holland, 4, and Michael Jr., 1. With benefits being held around the country, this is New England's chance to raise money and show love for Michael, as all proceeds will go to benefit his beautiful family and the Michael D. Ledbetter Family Foundation.
Artists scheduled to appear include Mike Welch, Gracie Curran, Kit Holiday, Lydia Warren, Phil Pemberton of Roomful of Blues, Anthony Geraci and several surprise special guests to be announced.
