Troy Gonyea’s remarkable musical journey as a distinguished guitarist/sideman has earned him the inheritance of deep roots blues. He has played guitar with The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame member Booker T. Jones (Booker T and the MGs), Marc Ford (The Black Crowes/Ben Harper/Magpie Salute), Kirk Fletcher, Sugar Ray and The Bluetones, Chicago Blues greats Hubert Sumlin, Billy Boy Arnold and members of The Muddy Waters Band and many more. He has played on two Grammy nominated albums, was up for a Boston Music Award, and is the only two-time recipient of the highly coveted Brinston Award (2018, 2020).
Today, Troy is a bandleader, guitarist, singer and songwriter. His music is Blues, Soul, and Rock & Roll.
His show at Bull Run will feature songs from his newest studio album, “Send A Midnight Signal.” Band members are Brooks Milgate (Piano, Hammond B3 and Rhodes), Marco Giovino (drums) and Marty Ballou (upright and electric bass).
