The L & M Rhythm Kings CD Release

The L & M Rhythm Kings CD Release
11-18-2018

The L&M Rhythm Kings offer their own spin on blues, R&B, and roots music while at the same time honoring those traditional forms. Their live set contains spirited original compositions, delivered in a mix with their own take on blues and R&B standards. The players share the tight, instinctive and spontaneous interplay that only comes with decades of playing together. Their live set shifts effortlessly between hard core blues, R&B, rock, and back again with a single band voice. They're a classic example of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts, yet as seasoned veterans each player is accomplished in his own right.

In the last few years L&M Rhythm Kings have opened for Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters, Roomful Of Blues, NRBQ, and others. Now stepping out on their own, the band has written and recorded a new CD of 11 original songs of blues, R&B, and roots music, called "The Lower Level". The new recording is a collection of powerful songs abetted by guest artists Ronnie Earl, Chris Vachon (Roomful Of Blues), and percussionist John Loud.

This CD release celebration launches the L&M Rhythm Kings on a new stage in their musical career. The band has invited album guests and others to join them for an evening of rhythms & grooves in this one time celebration. Join up!
