The CD has many guest musicians including members of Aerosmith, Johnny Winter, James Cotton, DMC from the band Run DMC and others. Now is your chance to pick up this amazing CD that has been called “the best release ever from the James Montgomery Band”. All the guest artists put in stellar performances such as Johnny Winter’s best slide guitar work backed up by two Aerosmith members and DMC’s freestyle interpretation of BoDiddley’s "Who Do You Love. And, of course, James & band will play all of the songs from the CD and personally sign it for you.
The James Montgomery Band is currently going through one of it's best periods ever. In the past two years Steven Tyler, Huey Lewis, Jim Belushi, Honey Boy Edwards, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford from Aerosmith, Jay Geils, Billy Squier, James Cotton, the Uptown Horns, Kim Wilson, Barry Goodreau formerly of Boston, Johnny A, Grace Kelly, Duke Robillard, and Matt Kelly from the Dropkick Murphys are just a few of the artists who have performed on stage with the James Montgomery Band. Also in the past two years the band has been invited by Morgan Freeman to be his guests in Clarksdale at Ground Zero. James was featured in a movie with Morgan Freeman and Willie Nelson called “Delta Rising”. It was these trips to Mississippi that inspired the new CD. The band has been working on a brand new live show that features new songs from the CD as well as other originals one of which was co-written with Grace Kelly the 19 year old sax phenom who has performed with Wynton Marsalis. Also in the new show are some of the most requested songs over the years including the very popular "Train" piece that was once number one on WBCN. The VERY HOT band includes David Hull on bass who plays with the Joe Perry Project and has been a member of the Buddy Miles Band and a member of Aerosmith in the years 2006 and 2009. Playing guitar is George "Best in the Business" McCann who has played with the Blues Brothers and Steven Tyler's solo band. Rounding out the line-up is Seth Pappas who is the band's anchor and has toured with legend John Lincoln Wright and Soul great Barrence Whitfield.
