One of the best live acts in the business, BoDeans tour year round, delivering amazing, high energy, performances. "I realized some time ago that the key to the BoDeans identity is the fans' connection to our music - nowhere is that more evident or rewarding as when we come together live. We love to connect with fans who have supported us for so long and brought us so much inspiration." said Kurt Neumann, the band's founder and frontman." We will continue to play as long as they continue to come out and sing along."
Rolling Stone Reader's Poll gave them Best New American Band in 1987 for their smash hits "Fadeaway", "Only Love," and "Dreams." Their dynamic live shows earned them opening spots for Bob Dylan, U2, Tom Petty, Paul Simon, David Bowie, The Pretenders and feature spots at Farm Aid, ACL and Summerfest.
After their T-Bone Burnett produced debut album "Love & Sex & Hope & Dreams," their next several albums played heavily on radio, tv shows and movies with songs like "Good Things," "You Don't Get Much," "Idaho," "If It Makes You," "Closer to Free", "Stay," "American" and "All the World," which was recently featured on CMT.
BoDeans have managed to survive the ups and downs of the music biz for nearly 30 years, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum has them permanently displayed as part of their Midwest Artists exhibit.
In 2012, they released "American Made," their 11th studio record, embracing their heartland roots and celebrating the American spirit. That same year, they also released the double live CD "Amped Across America."
20 years after their "Closer to Free" became a massive hit and the theme song of the sitcom "Party of Five," The BoDeans continue to tour the U.S. year-round, exposing the kids of their longtime steadfast fans to heartfelt, trend-free, American-made music.
