NEW YEAR'S EVE - The James Montgomery Band with The Uptown Horns and Lydia Warren

NEW YEAR'S EVE - The James Montgomery Band with The Uptown Horns and Lydia Warren

12-31-2013 - NEW YEAR'S EVE

The James Montgomery Band, Lydia Warren & The Uptown Horns - all together in one band, all night!

Local Blues Legend James Montgomery, who Peter Wolf has called “the John Mayall of New England,” and his rockin' band, Seth Pappas (drums), David Hull of the Joe Perry Project (bass) and George McCann (guitar) will kick off this long-awaited New Year.
Coming off a very successful tour supporting his newest CD Release "From Detroit to the Delta," featuring Guest Star Music Legends Super Harp James Cotton, Blues Guitar Legend Johnny Winter, Two Rock Stars from Aerosmith Brad Whitford (guitar) and Joey Kramer (drums), New York's horn section extraordinaire The Uptown Horns and Rap Star Darryl "D.M.C." McDaniels from the group Run DMC, James has hit his stride and is turning out some of the best performances of his career with spontaneous jams and surprise guests galore. Be there when the magic breaks loose.

The Uptown Horns are those Rayban-wearing, horn-carrying professionals whose signature horn riffs can be heard on the turntables of America on chart toppers like Grammy-award winning James Brown's "Living in America," the B-52s' "Love Shack," Buster Poindexter's "Hot Hot Hot, " Joe Cocker's "Unchain My Heart," Tom Waits' "Rain Dogs" LP, and Billy Joel's "River of Dreams" LP. Hundreds of additional recordings and touring credits include names such as the Rolling Stones, B.B. King, Bruce Springsteen, Robert Plant, J. Geils Band, Aretha Franklin, REM and the B-52s.

And of course Lydia Warren, who has been turning heads on the Blues scene since her 2001 debut at the ripe old age of 17. This blues guitarist, singer/songwriter extraordinaire cut her teeth opening for blues and classic rock luminaries B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Little Feat throughout New England, earning a Boston Music Award nomination and a feature on NBC’s Today Show. She has independently released six albums to great acclaim and international airplay. If you live in New England and you haven't heard Lydia - where've you been hiding?

Groove into 2014 with the funkiest, bluesiest, down-home, finger-lickin' good New Year’s Eve show around.
