Jeff Pitchell & Johnny A with Texas Flood

Jeff Pitchell & Johnny A with Texas Flood

3-29-2013

A guitar-duel show that you will not soon forget!!

Johnny A is widely regarded as one of America's finest contemporary guitarists and winner of the Boston Music Awards, "Blues Artist of the Year!" Gibson Custom Guitars first introduced the Johnny A Signature Model in 2003, and it has become one of the company's most successful and popular models! Johnny has one of the most eloquent voices in modern music and he does not sing a note! In the ‘80’s he hooked up with legendary J. Geils Band front man Peter Wolf, playing on his albums and co-producing one of them, as well as touring with Wolf around the world. This led to signing with Steve Vai's Favored Nations label and an ever-widening circle of gigs with the likes of B.B. King, Robert Cray, and Jeff Beck plus an appearance at Eric Clapton's “Crossroads Guitar Festival” in '04.

Jeff Pitchell has been blistering the paint off the walls of most clubs in the New England area for some years now and he is one of the hottest guitar slingers on the circuit, drawing comparisons to Jimi Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaughn. Pitchell is an internationally acclaimed dynamic singer, songwriter, guitarist and actor, winning "best guitarist" in the State of CT when he was 15 years old. He has most recently sold out 30 shows in a row with guitarist and Rock Hall of Fame nominee J. Geils, performed with Phil Lesh of Grateful Dead fame, played for the then World Champion Boston Red Sox on National TV and had a CD that stayed at #7 on the Billboard Charts for 12 consecutive weeks.

Together, Johnny and Jeff get their dueling-axes on and backed by Jeff's band, Texas Flood, tear up a high energy mix of Rhthym and Blues, Rock, Soul, Pop, funky Texas Blues and even a little Country.  This one is a barn-burner...

"When Johnny A got onstage with Jeff at Showcase Live, the combination soared to a new level for both.  Johnny’s Signature Gibson tangled and danced with Jeff’s Fender through every song. The audience was certainly delighted, but so were the musicians; you could read it all over their faces." - Carter Alan, WZLX, FM100.7
